DLA Piper is #1 M&A Legal Advisor of 2016

Last year, law firm DLA Piper provided legal services in the largest number of corporate M&A deals both globally and in Hungary, according to Mergermarket data.

Budapest, 6 March 2017 – Based on data from Mergermarket, one of the leading specialists in corporate financial news and analysis, in 2016 DLA Piper acted as the legal advisor in the largest number of M&A transactions for the seventh consecutive year. The law firm was involved in more than 470 transactions globally and advised on the most acquisitions in Hungary as well.

This is not the first time the law firm has led the way: since 2010, every year DLA Piper has been ranked first. In 2016, the company provided legal services in more than 470 mergers and acquisitions around the world. This was mainly due to the large number of transactions in the pharmaceuticals, medical and biotechnology, telecommunications, media and technology sectors, as well as the consumer sector.

Besides the global ranking, DLA Piper is leading the regional and national tables too: the company served as the legal advisor in the most mergers and acquisitions in both Europe and Hungary.
