Elemér Eszter is Chairman of the Board of Directors at PBG FMC Ltd., a venture capital firm founded in 2011. The primary goal of the company is to maximize the value of managed funds entrusted to it by external investors, and to facilitate the market success of small and medium enterprises, who generate a substantial export income for Hungary. PBG FMC Ltd. manages a venture capital fund (EUR 15 Million) containing a mix of EU and private money since the 24th February, 2014. Elemér Eszter – after graduating from Pázmány Péter Catholic University – studied economy and political science at Christendom College in Virginia, United States. He started his career in 2002 at Citi Bank Ltd. Afterwards, between 2004-2008, he was the co-founder of Cryo-Innovation Inc., which was acquired in 2012 by the Swedish public listed company Vitrolife. Portus Buda Group (PBG) Ltd. was founded in 2007. Elemeér Eszter, as a co-founder, is an executive officer at the company, which managed 15 acquisitions, 8 real estate development deals, and 10 asset management projects over the past decade. The aim of PBG Ltd. is to assist the major Hungarian Churches and their institutions to operate on a more sustainable basis. In 2009 Elemér Eszter contributed to the founding of SSP Inc. in the US on behalf of investors and has been an observer member of the board ever since. In 2015 Eszter Elemer was a co-founder of the Hungarian Social Impact Investors Association; from 2017 he has been the President of the Association. Eszter Elemér is a co-founder and CEO of Impact Ventures Ltd. (2017), which will manage the first CEE Social Impact Fund (EUR 21 Million). He is also a Supervisory Board member of Susterra Ltd., a fund management company, which will manage the Water Impact Fund (EUR 200 Million), specialising in water and environmental impact investing. Elemér Eszter has been the Chairman of the Hungarian Ventura Capital Association from 1st January 2019.

Dénes Szluha is an Investment Director with Hiventures and in his position is responsible for the growth phase investments. His team is seeking for investments in principal with a typical ticket size of 0.5-1.5 million EUR often in coinvestment with other domestic and reginal venture capital investors. Through his career he served in different transactional positions since 1996. He started his professional life at Shell and Deloitte and for 4 years from 1998 worked as Investment Manager at Hungarian-American Enterprise Fund and Hungarian Equity Partners. In 2002 he joined Magyar Telekom as Business Development Manager covering mostly domestic and SEE regional acquisitions. From 2006 he became Investment and Portfolio Management Director covering further international acquisitions, as well as serving as Member of the Board of Directors at different incumbent telco- and alternative operators. Later he worked at both the investors’ side as Investment Director and at startup enterprises as Business Development Director. He graduated at Szent István University in Gödöllő. In his private life he is the happy father of 4 rather adult offsprings.

Jenő has started his professional carrier at the TMT business advisory desk of KPMG in 2005. Later he was working for KBC Securities Corporate Finance providing international M&A, corporate finance and capital market transaction advisory for almost 10 years. Jenő holds a corporate finance and an actuary degree from Corvinus University of Budapest and has studied international economics at the Aarhus Business School. Jenő has gathered his CFA designation in 2011 and is a former board member of CFA Society Hungary.

Dr Ákos Bajorfi is a leading lawyer at Noerr & Partners Law Office, overseeing the law firm’s corporate and M&A operations. He graduated in 2007 at the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest. He received his master’s degree from Heidelberg University, Germany in corporate restructuring (LL.M. corp. restruc.). He started his career at the international law firm Noerr where he is still working. While on his job, he completed a course at ELTE University for lawyers specializing in capital markets and banking law, and he also received a pre-degree certificate at ELTE’s Doctoral School. He conducted his PhD research in the field of venture capital contracts at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Legal aspects of venture capital and private equity investments are not only the subjects of his theoretical interest, but he provides legal consulting services for VC and PE deals on a daily basis. He has extensive experience in the legal planning and execution of complex investment deals, as well as the legal aspects of divestments. Balázs Tüske is CEO and partner of Impact Advisory, an advisory firm in association with Dentons offering consultin services. Balázs focuses on M&A in Hungary and CEE. He’s primary focus is Private Equity investments, buy-side and sell-side due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and large transformational projects. More than 20 years’ experience working in Australia, UK and Central Eastern Europe in the professional services market (Big4). Held number of leadership positions for both accounts and people roles During this period Balazs led projects in; audit, accounting, mergers and acquisitions and large transformational projects in both IT and large scale performance improvements Significant experience in the performance of due diligence investigations, having led over 250 due diligence type assignments, covering all facets of small and large business, and mostly cross border Led a large number of assignments for private equity, real estate funds and also worked with a multitude of international companies looking to enter or exit the CEE region.
