Why becoming a member:

  • Ensuring participation on HVCA programs
  • Publishing your venture capital and private equity  transactions on the website and in the yearbook
  • Providing information on the European and Hungarian venture capital and private equity industry
  • Cooperating with relevant professional organizations

Advisor membership

Any legal entity can be an Advisor Member (Associated Member) of the HVCA whose activity is in connection with the venture capital and private equity industry and is willing to and would like to support the HVCA in achieving its goals.

All HVCA membership applicants must be actively involved in private equity, be of good standing in the private equity community and agree to abide by the HVCA Code of Ethics and Conduct.

The Board may accept or reject applications at its own discretion without giving reasons. The following criteria are for guidance only.

Investor member

Any legal entities located in Hungary can be Investor Members (Full Members) of the HVCA if they invest their own or others’ resources (in return for share) in companies which are not publicly traded. Foreign legal entities can also be members of HVCA. The precondition to a foreign entity’s membership is that such legal person or entity without separate legal personality be registered in the company registry kept in accordance with its personal law.

All HVCA membership applicants must be actively involved in venture capital or private equity, be of good standing in the venture capital and private equity community and agree to abide by the HVCA Code of Ethics and Conduct.

Individuals

Any private individual can be an Individual Member of HVCA who is willing to and would like to support the HVCA in achieving its goals.

All HVCA membership applicants must be actively involved in venture capital or private equity, be of good standing in the venture capital and private equity community and agree to abide by the HVCA Code of Ethics and Conduct.

The Board may accept or reject applications without giving reasons. The following criteria are for guidance only.

Please send the following documents to the address of HVCA:

  • application form duly filled out:
  • signed declaration
  • recommendations of two Investor Members (Full Members) of the Association.
  • cover letter which describes your aims and expectations related to you becoming a member and how you would contribute to the work of HVCA
  • Beneficial owner declaration (for investors, associated members)

The Board will review the applications.
